My son, who suffers from schizophrenia and brain damage from a car accident has come into your office twice to get a replacement Social security card. The first lady brushed him off told him that he had to get an appointment, and she not give him an appointment. Told him to go online to make the appointment. But when you go online to order the replacement card it doesn't give you the option to make an appointment instead instructs you to order it from my SSA. And that site has guard features that his phone doesn't support. Nor does mine. So he is still with out and a way to get an appointment. He comes to your office to let you know his situation - only to have to wait another 2 weeks for an appointment. - that he should have gotten the first time he was there. Bravo social security office... Great way to treat the communities disabled persons.

Made an appt for the Independence office by calling the 800 number and only had to wait 5 minutes. The lady was very helpful and answered all my questions.

I walked in to get my name changed on my SS card. The office was empty. The security guard asked me to scan a code that’s useless for what I needed, my service can’t be done online. So then I was told to call and make an appointment’ however the wait can be up to 2 hours for a representative to take your call. I’ve been calling all week to make an appointment. This office needs restructuring and new management. How can they run a government business where people need documents for legal purposes and can’t obtain them. SMH do better

So absolutely no where on the website can you make an appointment but then when you get to the office it’s by appointment only… I mean seriously what’s the point of our government offices if they don’t support the people?

Walked in around noon, is was slow, not many people there. Walked directly to the kiosk to check in. The security was there doing their job, not rude at all. I was able to get in and out in less than an hour. Seating area was clean and decent. Thanks!
