If I could give this a score of zero I would. The SSA office gives you paperwork of documents you can bring to their office to help get your SS card, but then they will tell you that you need more on the documents like signatures, stamps and even though the medical office will assure you their documents will work the SSA office can (and did) deny those records and tell you to come back with what they specifically want, not what the paper that states is appropriate to bring. They will reject what they want to reject.

There's a lot but I'm gonna start this off by saying security was not friendly at all. The younger guy with dark hair 8/19 didn't want to let us in and had no reason to be that way. It's been a complete run around for a month and a half trying to get my infants social security card, which was needed for insurance. We already asked them to extend it once, going in today I was beyond wore out with this situation. I was told by multiple agencies it would be sent to me, but never happened. 80 minute wait for calling SS office and I got hung up on before coming to this office location. She told me stuff goes wrong with newborns SS in the mail "all the time". Let me tell you it's not easy to wait in an office with an infant that's nursing, let alone just waiting on hold! And to top it off I don't always have access to a car to get here. By all means it should have been sent. I asked her why would I need to come and apply for a replacement if it was something messed up on their end and I never recieved it ? She literally hung up. And could hear my crying baby in the back. How heartless do you have to be to work here? And the security was so rude. He was telling us we needed an appointment and I said I still need to speak to someone to confirm a future appointments location. He really tried to scoot us out the door. I'm just trying to get my new baby's social and I had her with me... do we really need to be treated like this? And told me to leave my Gatorade outside on the sidewalk! You're kidding me right? Treat people how you'd like to be treated. That man treated us like a dog he was shooing away. In conclusion to all of this, there was a really nice man at this location that ended up helping me and I did not have to wait that long (this is why they get 5 stars) he was able to give me the info I needed and was welcoming, however I still do not have her physical card so it's not completely solved. Also, if an appointment was necessary, there should be a easier way to make one. 80 minutes on hold every time I've had to call but yet you absolutely need an appointment? Shouldn't there be someone working that is just a sceduler?! Wow.. this was traumatizing. Like I said the last guy at this location was helpful but I can't believe how many hoops they'll make a new mom jump through!

Efficient. I was helped, I was patient and so we're they. Clean atmosphere, security guard was kind. Can't believe most of these reviews, a little bit of patience and understanding can get some of you further than you think.
