Nobody a month agoIn November 2024 the SSA caused my son and I to become evicted and HOMELESS destroying our life due to shutting off my sons Survivors benefits from my husband and his father early in his Sr year of highschool after sending in the proper verification signed by his highschool stating he was still full time a student. They then allowed my mother, his grandmother after we moved in with her to make calls with my son and redirected the back pay which took until April 2025 to finally recover , into another account with me his mother and always in my custody removed. I as the biological mother, my son always in my custody was unable to recover had the first ever eviction after missing 1 rent payment the property manager, who knows my family and spoke with my mother charged me DOUBLE in rent every month where I couldn't make my son and I rent payment ending with 11k owed and an eviction where I was denied due process in a court by not serving me the paperwork to attend court or file motions to explain or give my side and intent to settle the debt within reason. All the while my mother took my son to her bank and directed him open a new account without my knowledge telling him the minute he turned 18 "All that money from survivors is yours". The back pay from the time funds were paused November 2024 until May 2025 ( 7/8 months delay of 1800 a month) back pay was deposited into a new account instead of the account I opened as representative payee in 2020 . My mother then charged my son $400 a month rent for his bedroom as well as me for mine from March 2025 periodically kicking me out of her home separating me from him when I tried to protest her actions of redirecting funds to be deposited into an account she had my son open at her bank, then she would call me a few weeks later and tell me to come home to then just kick me out another few weeks to sleep in my vehicle or camp. My mother and father are abusive and local police refused to file a report from the address at 8012 s. church, pleasant valley mo with video evidence of the following threats and abuse in the home after she spat in my face, put her hands on me, my father threatened to kill me and beat me to death me over resisting their interference with my sons survivors benefits and coercion. It's now a year later and I am denied housing due to this eviction at 50+ years old. I called local greenhills for my income verification and to again state I am locked out of online access due to two step authentication and been denied an in person appointment stating they will send me paperwork to report the incident causing my sons several month benefit pause and subsequent eviction and the redirected back pay into a new account to only receive in the mail my social security income verification and not the other half. I received no form as promised to file a report or grievance and I am not allowed to go into any office. Absolutely horrendous customer service after my call requested an In PERSON appointment to take care of all my issues and online account lockout. I DID NOT RECIEVE MY FULL INCOME STATEMENTS that were sent out the first of the year to even attempt to get housing delaying my unhoused status further. They couldn't help me get back online, didn't send the form to file a complaint or statement about my sons Survivors shut off without notice causing irreparable damage. My good credit was ruined, my rental history ruined . SSA REFUSED TO SCHEDULE IN PERSON appointment.. Id like to ask if any of you at SSA would like suddenly become unhoused or to be forced to go camping, sleep in your vehicle and risk being arrested for vagrancy after being married and prior homeowner for 24 years and raising two children to have tragedy in your lives to be forced into the streets and living with others due to the actions of SSA and continuous aggravation of not even being able to report what's happening and denied a face to face appointment, delays and errors in sending income verification. No help. Where do you turn? Angela Ayers formerly Foster
Tink Schrock 3 months ago2-2-2026: I got there about 10-15 mins before I had scheduled my appointment all bcuz I was very unfamiliar with the whole place and process of it. I had made an appointment to get a new Social Security card and it was scheduled for 2pm and I was out of there about 2:20-2:30pm. The gentleman that assisted me was very knowledgeable, helpful and polite. Once I actually got to the window I was out of the office within 10 mins and my new Social Security Card should be arriving in the next 2 weeks 😀
Brianna 3 months ago(This has nothing to do with the security) They Never called my number. I waited 3 hours. I asked the guard if I should just renter my information to just renew my ticket. He said he will check if my number was called. Whoever told him it was straight up lied to me and the other officer. I know this because the screen showing the numbers wasn’t full yet since I got there shortly after they opened. I also know that because after waiting a little longer after getting a SECOND ticket and still not getting called back we eventually just went up to the window and bluntly asked a different non security worker about it. She told me that 1 they never called my number and 2 our appointment wasn’t even for that office and 3 that the ticket we renewed wouldn’t have gotten me an appointment just a slot to try to set up a new one. we 100% made it for that office because it’s the only one near by and we had 3 months of double checking and confirming before our appointment date came. and we even talked on the phone to confirm the appointment with a real person. I also had multiple people talking on phones and watching videos at full volume, but a security guard told my husband he could let my 1 year old play with a toy that made some noise. (it was also quieter than the volume people were talking/watching videos at) and I’ve seen many of the same things happening and being shared in these reviews. I’m at a loss for words. After reading many reviews it shows I’m not the first and won’t be the last having this experience with this office and something needs to improve desperately for the sake of all the elderly and young moms who utilize the building.
Bryan Caldwell 2 months agoI accidentally inadvertently hung up on a representative named DJ who helped me tremendously DJ I am sorry about that you deserve praise too. I have been going to this office on Euclid ever since I got injured back in 2001 a week or so before that terrible event of 911. I had a Mrs Sproul who helped meet tremendously. Fast forward many years later lost my disability because I did not no contact because I had moved I was getting mail from them next door but it stopped I have been in this residence next door for a year now. Anyway I lost my benefits last month was very upset about it because rent was due. I went in there on a Friday afternoon last week and I had a young lady help me I can't remember her name, but she is magical whatever she did got my case reinstated over the weekend of all things. I just want to take a moment and praise this office and how good they have been to me all the things I recognize they have done for me. I just want to say I appreciate each and every one of them, I thank them for the time it is always a pleasure to go in that office. DJ you are a execlementary mention too. 💯❤️🤍🩵
Lee Giacalone 4 months agoMy experience with this office has been very favorable. I find the security personnel and the staff members very helpful. Of the two times I was there, the wait was reasonable, and I received a resolution to my issues.
