I have been dealing with this office since 2011 when I received some benefits. 15 years later, and here we go again. I’ve was told time and time again that I owe nothing, and somehow they manage to find surprise bills that range from $300-350. 16 years later???? Last year I paid 304.00, they said you owe nothing for sure now, they said they checked every Social Security program out there and that was it. This year they just helped themselves to my taxes with another $353.67. No explanations, what period I owed that money from, just the fact that I owed them. Because they’ve been such a nightmare for the last 16 years, I kept all the documentation. I have put in so many hours into getting this resolved that I should be the one getting compensated for wasting my time!! But nonetheless I have to go in again, to fight for what is mine. I also called and waited 2 hours on the phone so the person who was unable to find the documentation I received from them, even though the docs had SERS order numbers and Quote Numbers, they still couldn’t find it. This woman got so upset because she spoke with me for 10 minutes, and in the end told to just come in to resolve it and hung up. I waited 2 hours and she couldn’t do her job??? Got to love mediocre employees and their bosses!!

Today we visited your office, and unfortunately the man at window #4 behaved very rudely toward us. He stated that each person only has three minutes, which felt dismissive and unhelpful. When I asked for a phone number so that I could schedule an appointment properly, he refused to provide it and did not assist us further. We would appreciate it if you could address this situation. We were simply trying to obtain information and schedule an appointment, but instead we were treated in a very unprofessional manner.

My experience went way better than I thought it would!! Always heard horror stories of the process at social security which is why I procrastinated getting my name changed after getting married. I filled out the app online (which makes the in-person process go by 10x faster), made an appt for 10am on a Wed, brought all my docs needed, and was in & out within 5 minutes! Just make sure you get it done online first to save time. All the staff & security were super nice and friendly. I would definitely recommend the West Sac location to anyone.

Make an appointment and fill out your forms online if you can!! Went there for a name change appointment, only waited about 2 minutes from the time I walked in to the time I was being helped at the counter. Whole process took 5 minutes approx. Very nice staff, everyone treats you with respect here. Thank you!

I had an appointment which I made online at the time when I submitted my application. I arrived at 12:50 pm and was out of the office in less of 5 minutes. Everyone I interacted with was so kind and courteous from the security officer to the person who helped me process my paperwork for a name change. I recommend making an appointment either online when filling out an application or calling the phone listed on their page as it is a small office and it was packed. It will save you time!
