I came to this Social Security office to help someone else with their situation, and honestly the experience was really disappointing. The building itself looks very outdated and could definitely use some renovations. It doesn’t feel well maintained and just gives off a run down impression. What really stood out though was the staff’s attitude. I was asking simple, basic questions just so I could understand the process and help the person I came with. Instead of being helpful, some of the staff responded with unnecessary attitude and impatience. It felt like they were annoyed that I was even asking questions. People come to this office because they need help with important matters, and many are already stressed or confused about the process. Treating people with respect and basic courtesy should be the bare minimum.

Do not use this office or mail anything here. After several weeks with no updates and being told to just call back, I finally spoke to a staff member who told me no one would be able to help me as it would take too long to stand up from their desks and check their lost mail, after they admitted that my original documents could be lost. After getting USPS involved as it was sent certified, my application was finally processed and I received my new card. They still have not returned my original documents weeks after receiving the new card though, and calls following up say they have no way to know where my documents are, and to just continue waiting and calling after a week to see if there are updates. Everyone on the phone has been kind & respectful, but either aren't provided the tools to do their job or are unwilling to use them.

I was there for a name change without an appointment. I got there around 8:40 and the line was very long! They were handing out tickets and letting everyone know there was no guarantee that the ticket number would be called. Be sure to have your paper & everything ready to speed up the process! They stop calling numbers at 9:30 as they only accept walk ins for the first 30 minuets they are open. They were very efficient & fast! I was about 45th in line and was helped (granted i was one of the last ones) but they were able to get me what a needed! If you want to walk in - just be sure you get there early!

Had a great experience today. We went without an appointment and joined the walk in queue at about 7:45AM. There were about 25 people already ahead of us. Around 8:45 AM they officers started distributing the tokens but kept saying there was no assurance that we would be serviced today. The staff are very efficient and try their level best to accommodate as many walk ins as possible within 9:30 AM. We were serviced and we left the office within 9:25 AM. If you are in a hurry and do not have an appointment try to reach as early as possible to maximize your chances.

Thank you to the staff at this location. I was recently married and needed to change my name. I usually get nervous making sure I have everything I need and in order, but they calmed my nerves. They were very helpful and got me squared away quickly. Thank you so much!
