Coming into the SS office, I was very nervous and expecting the worst based off all the bad reviews however my experience was perfect! We made an appointment for Tuesday morning at 9am, we came 20 minutes early, and was able to complete the entire process by 9:35am. The staff was very respectful and made great effort to complete the work in timely fashion!

The staff was friendly. My appointment was at nine and I was out of there at 9:17. With it being government I was ready to spent time there. I do not see why I had to check in online and again in person as the online confirms your location. The security man Brett is the name he have me was very uncourtious. I do not care how fast and efficient it all was I would not want any person treated the way he was everyone. He asked if we were changing our card which I was today and if we had done the application online. At my hesitancy he told me to get the application on the table and added in English as if I could not decipher my language. I understand it is a federal job and that the job is hard day in and out. With that taken in mind, it doesn't give anyone the right to be rude or unkind especially when it is unprovoked.

Extremely horrible service. Be prepared to spend 3 hours waiting. Only 2 windows open . If someone would tell me that it’s 3 hours wait I would say you’re exaggerating BUT NOT!! 3 hours waiting is TRUE!! Unbelievable but true!!!!!!!!! My number was 702, but someone with number 704 was called before me. I asked the person on reception if it’s normal to wait more than 3 hours, he said Oh yes! Many people who arrived after me were attended before me. That’s normal. I had another appointment in another place, couldn’t wait any more, after waiting 3 hours and 30 minutes I just left. The only thing that I need is denial letter that my mom can’t get Medicare. I didn’t get it.

I came to this office to obtain a Social Security number for my newborn after leaving another SSA location due to dismissive and disrespectful treatment. It is deeply troubling that government offices meant to serve the public operate this way. I scheduled an appointment for February 9th at 11:00 a.m., arrived at 10:45 a.m., signed in promptly, and have now been waiting over 90 minutes past my appointment time with no acknowledgment or explanation. The lack of organization, urgency, and basic human consideration—especially for parents with infants—is unacceptable.

Waited 75 minutes on phone to make an appointment for time sensitive documentation SSA Austin sent to ME only to be told they could not make any appointments within that time frame? WTH! I think they need to get their act together if they want to put time limit on documentation they need to fix this ASAP. I find it totally unacceptable someone has to wait 75 minutes to be told too bad we can't help! Sad situation for SSA.
