When I went in today for my 1:00pm appointment to replace my SSN card, there was only one person in the whole waiting room. The security officers prior to walking in were nice and the SS employee that helped me was super helpful. I was in and out within 20 minutes! Thanks!

There's a line to get in through the security and go through the metal detector before you get seated. The security guards help you get a ticket. There is a wait if you go later in the day or even if you have an appointment scheduled online. But once you get to the window, they are very quick. My ticket number got skipped, but I was given a new ticket right away to make up for the mistake. It was an online error showing window kdos without any window number.

Made an appointment online for a new social security card. Once arriving for my appointment they called me to the window within 2 minutes. I was out within 6 minutes total. There was at-least 15 or so people waiting when I arrived, so it seems going by appointment is best.

Over 120 minutes wait time is a great way to start. Pay into this system for 50 years just be treated like this in hopes of getting a trickle of the money you contribute.
