I went here instead of downtown. The wait was short and the staff were so kind, efficient and clear on directions. My advice to anyone: call the national line make an appointment at a SPECIFIC location fill out the online application If you follow all the directions SSA gives us you should be just fine!

Place is clean and organized but someone came out to explain it would be between 2 to 3 hours wait if you don’t have an appointment. We raise our hands to ask questions and after he finished talking he just went inside, closing the door on us and didn’t even let us ask any questions.

Went without an appointment and booked one at the kiosk, there were enough seats, the place was clean, security guard friendly enough to making you comfortable. Highly recommended to book an appointment as the waiting time can be long, but I spent a couple of hours, was not awful I would say. At the end I couldn't attain what I wanted there had to be some form to the fed center, but the officer was very helpful and kind. They also came out to see who had left the queue to speed up, meaning they cared... One thing should be done is helping the elderly first, there was one lady there, not computer or phone savvy, kept on asking about when her turn was, felt bad, I think after a while of hearing numbers after her's she gave up and felt sad about that because elderly have problems like incontinence and legs swelling and should be given priority, if she was still there I would have taken her with me to the office door, heck.

By appointment only for anything SS related. Appointments are out two months so make your appointment before the 45 day limit when you submit your application. Good luck to those who can’t schedule out like that.

SSI is very weird because my son who at 8 started receiving disability benefits is 13 now and in special needs class all day long and has an I. EP and I get a letter stating that I have to go in. He has to go see a psychologist to see if he still qualifies for disability. After five years of being on it, I gotta go.Do another review.He's not even eighteen yet. Then, I have a friend that has two children.One of them gets surviving benefits, which is understandable, but her other one who is fifteen gets disability.S si and her son's never been called in for a review, which is crazy.And he never gets an abduction from his amount that he gets every month.Even though she will work and she has other money coming in and she files taxes.But as soon as I have a drop of money come in, they're cutting money out of my son's ssi. Which clearly makes no sense. I feel like they're like after us to get my son off of it or something. I'm not understanding this at all. And it never makes any sense when they explain it to you.How they calculate this stuff and how it works. My son gets very little as it is because I get paid child support every month by his father.So they adopt child support money that comes into the house from my son's ssi. So I bring in a net worth of about 2200A month, and I'm supposed to live on that with a 13-year-old and 11-year-old. That is what's crazy about this world is?They expect you to live on bare minimum and I don't receive any benefits like snap any of that. I think just how the state has it placed is messed up.Because I think you should be able to get your full benefits.Especially a child and their benefit's not deducted, because there's a little bit more income coming in the house. Also, this mother takes her 4 kids and she'll leave for 6 to 7 months to go to Georgia. Doesn't report it to the social security office that she's living in another state. And she does this at least once a year, and then she comes back. And then every year I'm stuck paying back pay because they messed up and so then they take it out of my son's disability. When he should be getting like $983 a month. My kid only gets $358 a month, and then it drops at least once a year for like 3 to 6 months because they send me a letter saying they overpaid. And how is this my fault?I don't do the calculations with s.S I so basically I feel like it's just a loan that i'm getting because they collect all their money back before the year's over.Because apparently they overpaid.
