My walkin visit on a Thursday without appointment at 9:20 am and I was able to get in within 20 mins of wait and security personnel was very professional and polite. Officer inside was very quick and submitted my request. The whole experience was less than an hour.

Recently married and needed to get my last name changed. I was impressed with how organized and quick the process was. TIP: HAVE AN APPOINTMENT! My appointment was at 1:30 and I was out the door by 2. There was a lot of people waiting when I got there and still waiting when I left... I assume they were walk-ins. Making an appointment is super easy and will save you the hassle. The staff was very nice and professional.

This place is messed up in Jacksonville. They gave me some of my backpay but now I don’t get anything until I get a payee and they couldn’t give me an appointment until two months out and no one’s telling me anything over the phone and what they told me from the very beginning they’re now telling me the opposite and no one tells you anything and these people are rude. I will be filing a complaint. I will even be going to the news over this crap it’s ridiculous. You haven’t gave me one good reason why I needed to pay you, but then you already gave me my back pay. and I still haven’t got a reward letter that’s kind of messed up. Isn’t that doing something backwards?

Went for walk in to get my new wife a name change, arrived an hour before opening and waited. At 20 til 9 a security guard came out and was rude. Stated they were short staffed and only appointments would be accepted. We did attempt to make an appointment but it is a month out. A tax funded administration should always accept walk ins, our tax dollars are paying for this. This is unacceptable. You shouldn't have to wait this long for a simple service that would literally take 5 minutes to accomplish. You should also no turn away walkin willing to wait..

Impressed with the organization - first visit always had to deal with Orlando area SS administration. I tried to get an appointment there was a six weeks wait. So I decided to go there and wait my turn. I filled my form out before I went there, on-line. And brought my Confirmation # and I also printed the form so I could show them it. I got there 15 minutes before they opened. Got in line. NOTE: if you need a SS card - new card, name change, etc.. go to the door on the LEFT side and line up. Other issues are in the RIGHT door. It says SS Card services on the Left door. We were in and out quickly. They gave us our numbers and there’s a QR code you can scan that is ON THE DOOR that puts you in line. We didn’t notice it at first. Plenty of parking all around the building. Service was polite and helpful. Follow the rules and you’ll get through quicker.
