Great staff! I saw some really bad reviews online however my experience was totally different. I had booked my slot online but I wanted an early appointment as I had to start my job ASAP. So I went there to check if I can get a walk-in appointment. The security and information staff was really helpful and guided me. Even the person who did my application was really sweet and patient. I was out within an hour with my application being made. Would hiighly recommend this office.

Haven't been here in a while but I accompanied my neice to get her socal security card and the while process was ridiculous. You have to pull a ticket but the tickets aren't called in order meaning if you have D234 and someone has D253 was called first it's supposed to be acceptable. Of course everyone is most likely here for the samething....that's not right. Government workers dont want to work but keep their jobs. Its sad that to have to put a bad review on a governmental building in Anacostia. I guess whatever happens bad should be expected because of where it is. It could be better. Sad Sad Sad. You have some people come to work to work and some people come to help not here they just probably come for the money

After a 2-hour wait for my number to be called, I get to window 6 greeted by Mrs Barnett, just to have to go back in the waiting area to speak to a supervisor. Ms Q is the supervisor and she doesn't know anything and she lack customer service skills. She even told me that I was not the only person or case that he have and he doesn't know the information was updated. Northeast office was the office that resent the documents. 5 days later and still nothing has been done.

Takes forever to get an appointment, and make sure you have all documentation because you will have to wait a few more weeks just for another appointment. The security guard at the desk is a little sketchy. I walked out and was standing in the front looking up an address and she tells me that I am going to break the breaks by standing on the steps. Asked me was I waiting for an Uber. Like I literally just walked out the door to look up an address. I thought she was weird and rude.
