You need an appointment to visit the office. I was sent a text message reminder the day before my appointment. The day of my appointment i was sent a link to click on to notify the office when I arrived. Went through being searched by security, the gentleman was polite & professional. Went in & waited on my number to be called , waited 15 mins. 5 mins later I was done. Years ago the line would wrap around the corner to get in the building. Their appointment system they have now is much better. I saw people outside waiting to get in without an appointment, they were told over intercom , you need an appointment to be seen in this office you can wait & make an appointment here it will be a hour wait or longer or you can go online to make a appointment or call the social security main number. I made my appointment online it was fast & easy. The parking lot is small. If you can't walk far it's best to get dropped off.

Everytime I spoke with a social security worker. My experience has always been positive. Today I spoke with a worker and she explained the difference between retirement and disability compensation and it is better to keep the disability. Because your payment will drop by at least $200.00. And once you are awarded social security. There is a one time lump sum that you will get. Also if you are planning to retire and apply for social security, apply at least six prior to your retirement. The Watts social security office staff are very professional and helpful. Don't go into the facility with an attitude. Stay positive and very nice and the staff will treat you very well. I've been to this office at least three times and spoken with them on the phone at least five times since 2016. And everytime, everyone has been kind and helpful, even the security guards.

4th and 5th December 2025, great, efficiente service. On the 4th I went as a walk-in to ask for an appointment. On the 4th I was in and out in 10 minutes. I was given an appointment for 0900 on the 5th. I arrived on-time. I checked in, after the polite control of the security officer. On the 5th the appointment was done in such a polite manner. She was very kind and considerate. I read past reviews of this office, I cannot speak for those past negative reviews, I had such a polite, efficient experience. This office used to be good. You were able to walk in and be seen at that same day and yes the wait time was long but at least you were seen. Now you have to make an appointment either online or you make an appointment indoors and they have the nerve to make you wait 3 hours or more just to make an appointment to convenience them not you please people make it make sense why do I have to take another day off and make my appointment at 9:00 a.m. to make me wait 3 hours just to get a social security card or a printout of my benefits 😡

I gave it a try and it was my first time coming to this place never coming back ever again bad service. The security were polite and respectful that was the only good thing about this place. I got out of work early just to come here I waited about 2hours for my turn when it was my turn I got call on window #7 a old black male with an African accent didn’t do a good job very unprofessional he was rude and wasn’t listening, I just needed a print out of my social since I applied yesterday 11/15/24 on Olympic blvd but forgot to ask for it cause I was attending a funeral and was running a little late. The senior black man refuse to give me what I ask I didn’t had a problem on the other location on Olympic blvd I had my passport and DL for proof of evidence, they never ask me for my birth certificate on the other location. I was at the window a couple seconds less than a minute. - quick note I do recommend social security administration on Olympic blvd it took less than 10min for them to call me up and was there less than 20 min this place took 2hours of my time. Time is valuable.
