That was my 2nd time going to that office. I live far from it, but it's worth the travel. It's very clean, never crowded. The 1st time I visited it was in the late afternoon. The 2nd time was in the early morning. Very little people. Wait time was less than 10 minutes each time. The SSA staff and security guards are friendly and professional.

I'm a disabled senior female who only has an electric, 2 wheel scooter to get me around DTLA. I'm in need to acquire a letter showing proof of my SS check. This was my first time going to this office. The guard at the door I asked if I had time to get the document I needed. He was very kind to me and this I really did appreciate. However, and now it dawns in me the rule he stated evidently does not equally apply to all Federal buildings. I have been allowed my scooter into the Duke Dumagian Federal Courthouse in Long Beach. A LBPD officer went in and asked for me as it is a distance from the front doors to the security area. I also was allowed my scooter in the Social Security Office in Long Beach! My trip to this office was quite the adventure having to get around homeless encampments and such, with mixed emotions as I was homeless due to health reasons and divorce, my eviction happened. In the same respect, I have normal fear of being attacked as that happened to me many times. So...getting to this building I was excited to arrive. I have had two scooters stolen and I refuse to leave it outside this building in an area with many homeless and more are meandering around. II am going to take the train to the LB office which will be less harrowing of a trip and I know they will allow my scooter! Since, I didn't get inside, I can't say much about this place. Again, the guard was kind and respectful. The stars are for the guard only!

I was 1 1/2 hours early. I was still allowed to sign in and get a ticket. I waited around minutes, they called me and I was OUT OF THERE. The security guards were friendly and professional. And so was the clerk who helped me. The office itself was very clean. If I ever have to visit an SSA office again, I will go there even though it's far from where I live.

Yesterday short haired lady Rude at window number 9 to all of us. I don’t understand why you chose a career with the public to have so much negative service towards us. We are claiming our benefits not yours lady so calm down if we want to come in without appointment for our own reasons thats what you are on the clock getting paid from my taxed dollars to do, assist by working. Dont take out your frustrations of your governed employee changes on the public.

The posting says your open but I've been on hold for about two hours and the automated system says my wait time is 9 minutes, well it's been more than 9 minutes. I feel that if SSDI employees don't want to go to work they should give clients heads up. Instead of lying and keeping them on hold for 3 hours. I have other important phone appointments I need to answer.
