Devon 4 months agoEveryone here is extremely nice and friendly...including the security guard dude is awesome. I needed a replacement social security card.Had to have an appointment but once I was checked in, there was a short wait and I was literally done within 10 minutes. Much better experience then I was initially expecting.
Karyn Pfister 5 months agoI was greeted by a very nice security guard named Christopher. He guided me to check in. He had a smile and a kind demeanor. The feeling in the building was tense and stressful, but his kindness made it better. There was a man playing loud music in the lobby. Christopher kindly asked him to silence his phone and the man did. I had an appointment so I was called back quickly. The man who helped me was very robotic and seemed jaded. Nit in a bad way, but he probably has to deal with a lot of scared and stressed people. He was kind byt formal. It was quick and efficient and I was able to move on with my day. As I left Christopher thanked me for smiling and told me to have a nice day. I thanked him and told him that I really appreciate his kindness and what a difference it makes to have people be kind, especially when you're dealing with something stressful. We need more people in this world like Christopher.
Elisabeth Bruyere 11 months agoSecurity guard E. Pasqueria thinks he’s a cop and is on a power trip. He obviously gets off on yelling at women who are much smaller than him and in weaker condition. First he made a line of people wait outside in the blazing AZ sun and wouldn’t let us enter the building to sign in until we said good morning to him. He also didn’t tell any of us there was a second sign in computer so more people could get out of the sun. HE DID NOT SEARCH ANYONE!!! By the time I was able to sit down I was sweating and in excruciating pain. I waited for my number to be called and the lady at the window wouldn’t except my information I was dropping off and told me I need to put it in drop box by the entrance/exit doors. I changed my mind thinking I would fax it but turned right back in making a circle through the doors and started heading to the mailbox remembering my machine is down. The security guard then started screaming at me giving me a spiel about how I’m entering a federal building and all that when he literally just saw me walk out and walk right back in. I said I’m sorry I was just in here and wanted to put my information in the drop box. He immediately yelled back, “good for you now you’re gonna listen to me.” He asked if I had weapons i said no. He got mad I said no and screamed at me again shouting, “I’m not done talking!” He made me stand there in excruciating pain to demean and humiliate me on purpose in front of other people. I was in so much pain and felt very verbally abused and attacked so I thought I gotta get to my car to sit down this guy isn’t gonna stop on his power trip so I walked over to the drop box and put my letters in. He again screamed at me saying “i didn’t tell you to do that!” I said, “the women at the window did and I’m in a lot of pain, I need to sit down.” he said again, “good for you now give me your bag!” I was ready to leave at that point as I already mailed my letter but felt very scared from this man as he kept screaming at me. He grabbed my bag and started aggressively emptying out my belongings almost ripping the fabric. I told him he didn’t have to act like this, like an authoritarian and that I pay his taxes in case he forgot and he rolled his eyes and said, “no you don’t! You’re at the social security office.” He didn’t even put my stuff back in my bag, just kept demeaning me and yelling at me saying he has the right to search me whenever he wants. He found no contraband in my bag so I said, “satisfied?” He said “no, this could I’ve all been avoided if you just cooperated.” I said “I did sir! I answered your questions i don’t have contraband I’m only doing what the lady at the window told me to do… you did NOT search me or anyone else earlier! You only searched me now because I’m defying your authoritarian conduct.” He kept rambling on how he can do whatever he wants so I walked out as soon as I got my belongings back in my bag. The abuse allowed by this office from this guard is absurd and I will be following up the chain with this one! It’s clear E. Pasqueria gets off on screaming at women.
Käthe 4 months agoI am stunned at the cruel and nasty nature of the employees working here. There is no excuse for their horrid behavior towards people needing answers. It's shameful. I try to be polite and am met with the most disgusting treatment no human being should ever have to endure.
M 4 months agoWhat a waste of money keeping this sham operating. I went to the website, followed the links and called the number I was directed to. The representative said I needed to go into my local office and speak with someone. Back to the website, tried to schedule and appointment. The website directed me back to the number I just called. Considering a representative that I just spoke with after calling said phone number just told me to go into my local office, I headed there. Upon arriving, I was given a number and told to wait. After 2 and a half hours of waiting for my number to be called, I was told by the rude woman at the counter I needed to call the original number and speak to a representative. I explained to her that I already had done that and she continued trying to highlight the phone number on the flyer. Ridiculous waste of everyone's time. So, Social Security Administration: My dad died and I would like to grieve. Figure the rest out yourself.
