I had a lovely and friendly experience with my social security appointment. The security staff in the lobby was kind, to the young security man was really helpful in the lobby. Overall very pleasant! Came a little bit earlier and was called right away.

Definitelyale an appointment before coming here, had one and was in and out in under 15 minutes. Nothing to complain about, just your average SSA office.

Beautiful building w remnants of they original building from late 19th century. A quick walk around will be enough and only takes about 5 minutes. It's the federal social security office and is closed all federal holidays and isn't much to see inside but bring a medical mask to enter they make no exceptions and they do not provide any.

Classic government inefficiency. I completed an application online for a simple name change. Only needed to stop by the SSA office to show the documents. After taking a # and waiting an 1hr 40min they said they could only schedule me an appointment. Even though I was right there, documents in hand. I have to schedule an appointment to take another 2hrs out of my day next month. To take 2minutes to show my documents. Should say ‘Appointment Required’ instead of ‘Make an Appointment or Stop By’ your local SSA office to show your documents. I rarely leave a review. And not that this one will do anything to correct the problem, hopefully it spares someone else’s time from not having the correct information. I would leave zero stars if it was possible
