The staff at this Social Security office were kind, patient, and professional. Everyone I dealt with was respectful and far more patient than most people would be in that situation. For anyone going, it is helpful to know that you can only check in for your appointment 30 minutes early. I arrived 20 minutes early for a 10:10 appointment, was seen at 10:25, and was out by 10:34. If you do not have an appointment, be prepared to wait. Today I heard staff telling people in line that the walk-in wait was about 3 hours. Wait times can be frustrating, but I think people often blame the office without acknowledging how many delays are caused by visitors who show up unprepared, do not read instructions, or do not have the right documents. That slows things down for everyone. Based on my experience, the employees here were doing their best and handled people with a lot of grace. My honest observation is that a large number of the people I saw seemed clueless about the process, cranky with staff, or unprepared for what they needed to do. It also felt pretty obvious that many had not done much ahead of time to help themselves be ready. That is not the employees’ fault, and I think it is only fair to say that part out loud too.

With an appointment I was called very quickly to apply for a replacement card. Both the greeter and the gentleman at window 6 were very nice and helpful. I personally cannot stand bureaucracy and I can sincerely say that was the least bureaucratic government office experience that I can remember. They got me through quickly and did not make me do all the work to apply.

Although for some things an appointment is necessary, you can show up and request an appointment. You'll have to wait your turn and you will wait for all the people that have appointments to be seen before you get your turn so you get lucky or you don't. So if you don't have the time to wait then make an appointment. Otherwise you can sit there all day and probably get seen. It only took us about 45 minutes and we didn't have an appointment. It was an emergency situation. Mrs. Crawford helped us and she was very very helpful. We got our social security number within 3 days.

Only reason not 5 because of the horrible smell.. people bathe before handling business. It's hard out her for us all but cleanliness is next to godliness... Be blessed always 🙏👑

I don’t know why this place has bad reviews, I made an appointment for a Friday at 2:00 I arrived a little bit earlier and they called me at 2:12 to go to the window. Joe was the one who helped me with my case and he was more than amazing. They need more people like him. He was very polite, welcoming and professional. I forgot to bring one form and he made sure to filled out the form for me he didn’t have too but he did. I’m always coming here. Amazing service, everyone so polite, the office was clean. I went 2 months ago to the other social security administration building the one at downtown and they were horrible I had an appointment at 9:00 and they called me at 1:00 pm, the lady was horrible very rude and unprofessional. I’ll never go back there.
