I arrived at the SSA office at 9:00 a.m. without an appointment because my scheduled appointment was still quite a while away, and I wanted to see if I could be helped earlier. When I got there, there were some people in the office, but it was not very crowded. Right around 9:00 a.m., a staff member came out and asked what services people needed. Since I was applying for a Social Security Number for the first time, they directed me to a representative almost immediately. After the staff member asked everyone about their needs, I was able to see a representative right away without having to wait in line or take a number. The entire process took about 20 to 30 minutes, although part of that time was spent while the staff member retrieved some documents or completed internal procedures. My impression is that the actual application process itself probably took about 15 to 20 minutes. Overall, the experience was excellent. The staff were very friendly, patient, and helpful, and the atmosphere was welcoming and professional throughout the visit.

Did an interview over phone for Social security Survivor benefits and twice brought papers to the Mid Cities Grand Prairie Tx office . As they said they did not get the copy of divorce and marriage certificate. Interview was done may 22. Now I went to Grand Prairie and spent a long time waiting, they for all the copies this was the last Friday of May. Claimed they would send Mrs Rodriguez the message in Ft Worth. Since I called and they said they have no records of it , I again went down 6/10/26 this time the lady in section 8 made sure she said she documented she actually received the unaltered copy of marriage and divorce and put dates in, and also scanned it. Said sometimes scans don't always take ! Seriously! So you can say you documented the account so the other Social Security office will see dates. I have Copies they scanned and received them this time. This is the 2nd time Mrs Rodriguez is to call me back . Now I honestly am getting frustrated with how they are handling things? What is going on? I have spent hours handling this business and now I am waiting again and I best not get a sarcastic remark . Who is accountable for doing there job down there. Since I had to do this twice as far as dropping paperwork off. Divorce and Marriage certificates, I asked for a supervisor. They said that when they actually called my number this last time they had to find someone who knew how to handle this paperwork and they would be calling me by my number. So she did , that was the lady at window 8. The first time was the very last window on the same isle ( not by the window)!I believe it was window 18. How disappointing and reckless is the handling of my time and very personal information

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I visited the Social Security Administration office on Taylor Street as a walk-in, and I have to give a huge shoutout to Ms. Dinkins. Yes, the wait was a little long—but honestly, it wasn’t unbearable. But the moment we got to Ms. Dinkins, everything changed. Within 15 minutes, she figured out an issue we had been dealing with for months. Months. She was the only person who actually took the time to truly understand what was going on. What really stood out is that she didn’t just fix the problem—she explained everything. She walked us through what happened, where things went wrong, and why our account had been delayed for so long. She even went a step further and contacted the individuals who had previously worked on our account, addressed the incorrect notes, and clearly explained to them what had been done wrong. She didn’t just correct the issue—she held accountability and made sure it was properly fixed moving forward. That level of knowledge, confidence, and professionalism is rare. Ms. Dinkins was efficient, thorough, and genuinely cared about getting it right. She turned a stressful, drawn-out situation into something that finally made sense. She deserves a raise, a promotion, and honestly her own appreciation day at that office. Employees like her are rare. Thank you, Ms. Dinkins—you are truly one of a kin

We went to show proof of ID for Husbands Retirement application the people were awesome. Very nice kind and helpful. If you have never been to the downtown Ft. Worth location when you walk in the doors go to the left to the metal detectors social security door is right past the detector on the left. Kiosk is straight ahead. We had no appointment was out in 20 to 30 mins. Got there at 9:25 out at 10:00. Security and workers were were very nice and kind people.

Mr. Milton at the Social Security office was truly exceptional. During a very difficult time for our family, he was knowledgeable, kind, and incredibly understanding. He took the time to explain everything clearly and treated us with compassion and respect, which brought a great sense of relief during our period of grief. His professionalism and empathy made an overwhelming process much easier. We are deeply grateful for his help and care.
