I had a very positive experience at the Social Security office on Market Street on March 20, 2026. From the very beginning, I was treated with respect and patience. The staff member who assisted me was professional, attentive, and truly willing to help. They carefully reviewed my situation, answered all my questions clearly, and guided me through the entire process step by step. The visit took about an hour, and throughout that time I felt supported and understood. It is through such direct, personal interaction that a strong sense of trust and gratitude toward the Social Security service is built. In today’s world, such kindness and professionalism are not something to take for granted. I went to this office today (5/22/26) and was surprised that it was empty. The two security guards were very nice. I had a 1pm appointment and had to wait 28 minutes to be called in the back to Window number 8. The younger gentleman who was at the window really didn’t listen to me at all and when I requested certain paperwork he gave me something else and even when I asked again for the paperwork that I wanted it still wasn’t given to me at all.

Recently visited the office to get an update of my account: printout and was pleasantly surprised, although the office was fairly crowded. The security officer was gracious and kind. She gave instructions as to how to help myself and an elderly person that I was assisting we were able to use the kiosk get a printout of a number and were serviced within an hour. What a present surprise the customer service rep was very courteous, kind, and helpful. I look forward to my next visit!

WELL I LITERALLY WAITED ON THE PHONE FOR 1 HOUR TO SPEAK WITH A SS PERSON GUESS WHAT? NOTHING IMAGINE THAT! NOOOO ONE ANSWERED EXCEPT THE ANSWERING SERVICE!!! HORRID SERVICE!!!!

Honestly, the security guards and the lady at the desk, Ms Potito, were so respectful, helpful and approachable. I was in and out in less than an hour, and it made my day to interact with such nice people. Huge shoutout to the two security guards and Ms Potito!
