Very quick and efficient, I have to admit I was a bit discouraged about visiting due to the reviews I’ve seen. But the Lady at booth 6 was super polite and helpful really made my day . I think if you approach things/situations in a positive manner you will get positivity back . Also my appointment was super fast only took 10min wait time with a number. Best bet is to come ear even before your appointment scheduled.

I am hoping the right person will see this. On 8/7/25 I called after receiving a letter of an over payment from 2012. This was waived in 2016! I spoke with a woman named Miss Honore’ who spent a lot of time going through my file and confirming it was indeed waived. She updated my file and said everything was ok. I requested a verification letter but never received one. Fast forward to today I was notified social security took my tax refund. When I called I was told there is no record of my call in August when this was fixed. If miss honore or someone sees this I really need help correcting this!

I had an unpleasant interaction with a representative today, 2/26, at around 12:30 p.m. - I don’t remember the window number but he was working at the first booth straight ahead when you walk in (it might have been the only booth open), a white 35-40 year old man with short brown hair and glasses. I asked where I could drop off a letter and he directed me to the drop box. I had two letters and accidentally put in the wrong one. I let him know and he immediately lost his patience with me, asking something along the lines of “You’re expecting me to go over there and unlock the drop box?” with a super annoyed and hostile tone. I let him know it was an honest mistake (I had already apologized) and that I wasn’t trying to make his day harder. He said something under his breath including “Well, you’ve succeeded at that,” in the 15 seconds it took him to unlock the box and retrieve my letter. I understand that it’s a hard job and chaotic environment, but it was unwarranted and disappointing that someone in that role could take their frustration out on a stranger over something so minor. As a smaller woman I also feel that if I were bigger than him or more intimidating he wouldn’t have chosen to treat me that way, which is probably why this bothered me more than a regular grumpy employee experience. I’ve otherwise had pretty normal encounters and the other staff members have been helpful in the past. It’s also worth noting that he seemed to be interacting with others and myself pretty calmly up until that point. I do think the office runs smoothly and it’s worth making the trip if you need help with something you can’t do through their website. I’m not looking for any closure or disciplinary action based on this person’s behavior but I wanted to leave this review here mostly as a reminder to be kind and patient when you have the choice. Horrible experience at Window 4. After the staff member asked for my name, I responded with the pronunciation and handed her my passport so she could see it clearly. She refused to look at it and insisted that she “only asked for my name.” I explained that my name is long and that it would be easier and faster if she read it directly from my passport, which is also my required identification document. She refused and told me that I had to spell it out instead. She literally said, “Only do what I say, and that is the rule.” While I was spelling my name, she became impatient, interrupted me, and told me to “just say the last name.” When I paused to check that the information on the form was correct before signing it, she said “sign the document” very slowly, as if I did not understand English. The document she gave me had my name spelled incorrectly. When I returned the form without signing it to let her know, she finally took the time to look and listen carefully and only then did I receive the correct document. I am not sure whether this was simply extremely rude behavior or whether I was being treated this way because of my ethnicity. Either way, the experience was unacceptable and very disappointing.

i called in advance to ensure i could walk in without an appointment since i needed something done asap and there were no appointments before tax day. the woman at window 4 at 9 am this morning was so unkind, i left in tears. i have never been spoken to that way in my life. i understand if someone made a mistake in telling me i could walk in and wait, but she could have told me gently rather than acting like i was the dumbest human alive for being there.
