Wait times here are incredibly long, which would be acceptable if the staff here were knowledgeable about the forms and requests that their own website lists. I stopped by to fill out a request form the obtain supporting documents used to file my SSN when I was born but the woman had no idea what I was talking about. I showed her on my phone where this was mentioned on their website and she still had no clue. I told her I really needed help with this and she laughed and said she still had no clue. I told her to let me speak with someone who may know and she told me she would. One hour later I'm still waiting in the lobby and this person never showed up to help. Consider this office a last resort, and if it is your last resort I'm sorry.

I appreciate the hardwork and kindness that the security officer at the front provide each day. I understand it can be tough to deal with exhausted/ grumpy people everyday, but he continues to be polite and respectful to everyone. Also, kudos to Dom/Don? at window 10 for being efficient and calm for my end of week and end of day appointment (during this heat wave)! Also, it was pretty easy to set up the appointment online at the ssa.gov website.

I want to give a big shoutout to Gerardo for doing an excellent job as security at the Social Security Administration. He’s always professional, attentive, and respectful, and he does a great job making people feel safe and welcomed at the same time. You can tell he takes his role seriously while still treating everyone with patience and kindness. His presence truly makes a difference, and the office runs smoother because of him. Highly appreciate his hard work and dedication.

The lines are long. They recommend that you make a phone call to make an appointment. Security friendly. They told me via 3 hour to 4 hour wait not very convenient if you have a wheelchair they have stairs to mine goes down the stairs and you got to go all the way around just to get up the stairs.

How do you make an appointment if you can't even get one online and over the phone??? #sandiego #mayor You really need to change your system. There is an old lady standing and no chair to provide. I hope she doesn't faint. A QR code provided is a waste either.
