This is my first time at this building and I have to wait outside in this long line just to get inside to get a card replacement This place is too busy and it’s to hot to be wait outside just for the lady in the hallway to tell you to make an appointment, this is my second time here I tried to make an appointment. No one answered the phone. They tell you to scan the barcode to set up appointment that also do not work. I really don’t understand why this location is running. It’s really pointless and it’s not helpful at all to a lot of people that’s wasting gas coming in here just to be turned around.

Parking sucks for being downtown. The building is nice. Agents could use some customer service skill building. Seems the only way to get things done is to go in person. Unfortunately, the last 2 visits were due to their errors, and agents not following through. All good. Just unnecessary. Don't just take their word for anything. Make sure you always get something in writing before you leave your window. Write the agents name for future reference. You might just need it as proof. , as I did for last 2 visits. Doing their job too. Just like self check out at the grocery store.

Had my appointment booked days in advance. Still had to check in and get a ticket # when I arrived. Then they call numbers in a completely random order, mixed with walk-in #s instead of sequentially. I waited over an hour before getting called. Oh yeah, and parking is $3/hr while you're sitting there waiting. BE AWARE

There is plenty of parking with a five story parking ramp as well as a ground level parking lot that are both adjacent to the building. Make sure and follow the signs that direct you to Suite 100 for the Social Security office. Once you enter their office, there are security guards who will search any bags if you have any with you and you are not allowed to bring drinks with you into the office. Don’t bring your Starbucks, water bottle or anything else you’re drinking in the office. The waiting room was almost full and I would say there were close to 70 people waiting. Make sure you go online and make an appointment if you do not want to waste the better part of the day here. A person sitting next to me had been waiting over three hours because she did not have an appointment. You can make an appointment online at SSA.gov I was able to book an appointment for the next day and it’s very simple to do on their website. I ended up waiting 30 minutes and the person helping me was very friendly and the process to get my replacement ss card took less than five minutes. I highly recommend if you have a passport to use that as your identification for your replacement card. If you don’t make an appointment in advance online and fill out the required paperwork on your computer, you will have to do it while waiting. Remember to bring in a pen and the required documents needed for your visit.

SSA telephone reps are often bizarrely rude and short tempered...More than the reps at other government agencies. They always address you in an inpatient tone... I can't believe that the SSA only hires rude workers... I believe that they train them to behave in this manner...I doubt their supervisor cares because they stick together...I usually take the surveys but idk if it makes a difference I had one guy yell at me then hung up in my face....Or they will mute the call to wait for you to hang up first so that you will skip the survery.
