We had to stop by here around 11 AM to show some documents for our application, and we didn't even have an appointment. I was expecting a massive wait at that time of day, but the whole process was incredibly easy and the staff was very friendly. We were completely in and out within an hour, which is pretty impressive for a busy downtown government office. The only real downside is the parking situation, since it feels like everyone downtown is trying to make a buck on parking. If you can figure out where to park ahead of time, the actual office visit is a breeze.

I was given an appointment a week in advance for 10:30. I arrived about ten minutes early, went thru security and was told to check in and have a seat until my number was called. Numbers were being called for about half an hour and then all the sudden they were just calling “who’s next in line” after the lobby was full of people sitting. They stopped calling numbers and told us it doesn’t matter if we had an appointment or not. They did not inform anyone in the lobby numbers were no longer being called. I waited over an hour to be helped, what’s the point of having an appointment scheduled if anyone can walk in and stand in line and get faster service than sitting in the lobby and hoping a number gets called at all? Complete waste of time.

The social security administration told me MORE than once that I had to go in personally in order to try to use their new login system to access my social security information. For something that was clearly able to verify with my history. The young lady was very nice however she could not help me so it was a waste of time. And then I asked if she could put notes in the system to change it to only documents being mailed physically and she couldn't do that either. So basically they have a system that they don't give the employees any options to help anybody and you get back to making a phone call that you're on hold for up to 8 hours. They make you set up accounts for their new system but they don't let people correct errors that the system is having. It's just unbelievable and it's a runaround

I am writing to complain about my experience at the Social Security office. This is one of the most disorganized and unpleasant government offices I have ever visited. Appointments are scheduled, yet people with appointments are not seen on time and often have to wait over an hour. Walk-ins are also accepted, which only adds to the overcrowding and delays. I was at the office with my elderly mother from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. before we were finally seen. Expecting an elderly person to sit for six hours without food is unacceptable, especially when they may need to take medications at specific times. There seems to be no consideration for seniors or people with medical needs. Although they allow you to leave your phone number to be called, this does not make up for the extremely poor time management and lack of concern for the public. The governor and state officials need to address the conditions and scheduling practices at this office. This experience was completely unacceptable.

It was nightmare lady green window very rude. Waited 2 hours still no call had to leave to put more money in the meter. All I need was for them to stop sending paper checks & but in the direct express card. I even call day before said just go in they will be able to help you we cant do ot over the phone. The only person that was helpful & friendly was "older gentleman security" made you laugh when you went in.
