If I could give 0 stars I would. Everybody who works here is VERY VERY RUDE, DISMISSIVE, & CONDESCENDING!!! Do not go to this office. Our appointment was for 1:30pm. They FINALLY saw us at 4:45pm!! Then, they wouldn't listen to us at all, kept interrupting. We were there because my father's Chase Account was hacked & fraud happened at the end of April, so he had to close it & open a new account. We asked Chase to ask the SS administration to change it to the new account, but they said it could take 4-8 weeks, so suggested we go into the SS office to make the change of accounts. We made an appointment in-person after first trying to do it (let SS know about the new account) online & over the phone unsuccessfully. Nobody told us that we needed a Representaive Payee form filled out BEFORE coming there. All we wanted to know is if SS has gotten the new account information. They refused to tell us that. We were also trying to get a new SS card for my elderly mother, but they said we need to make a separate appointment for that!! I'm like what?? It's a struggle to bring my elderly mom out of the house. My father had to be admitted to the ER the day before the appointment or else we could've brought him in-person. 4 hours wasted. This SS office does not value people's time AT ALL!! There is a very nice black guy security guard there; but everyone else needs to be FIRED ASAP!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!

Huge shout out to Ms. Jimenez!!! She was amazing and helped me so much with my social security card and related issues. She was kind, patient, and very efficient. I would 100% go back there again because of my experience with her.

Horrible experience. I was told by the SSA to come here today regardless of not having an appointment, as my circumstances are urgent. Got screamed at for all directions and then got told to leave. It’s no less than chaos. The agent in booth 1 - learn some to have some dignity and respect for others, it must be a lot of work being that miserable.

Sat on hold for FOUR hours total yesterday, at 3:45 I was told I has an appointment at 9:20. But it isn’t an “appointment” since you still have to get a number and wait. And wait. Like the worst deli ever with no good food at the end. They have people with walkers and canes standing outside in 25 degree weather. The place is FILTHY. There seems to be maybe a handful of employees. I HIGHLY doubt I’ll be seen in 4 minutes for my “scheduled appointment”. Doesnt seems to be any heat on in the building. Wow. Caution tape everywhere. This appointment time required thing is a scam. It basically gives you the PRIVILEGE of being allowed in and then its numerical - kind of. Plan on sitting in this freezing, undertsaffed dump indefinitely; appt times are meaningless. Apparently I was supposed to have been given a “ticket number” by the agent I finally spoke with but…nope. This is UNPAID TIME OFF of work with an unknown wait time. Its FREEZING. What a sad joke this government has become. 265 approx wait time for Disability claims? 120 min average hold time (that’s being generous). So 10 min past appointment time, no clue what of any order things are happening and nobody can answer a question. The security guards are talking crap about the people that are here. Unreal. EDIT: Welcome to Trumps ‘Murica. I blame him and his cadre of deviants, not the Soc Sec office. 3-9-26 No response to appeal filed close to a month ago and was told there is “no time frame” for a decision. Really? Every other agency does.

Officer Jacobs was a grounding presence in the waiting area and brought a smile to the face of each person he interacted with, even if the information he was delivering was disappointing. He had information handy to assist folks, and confidently offered instructions. He was able to direct me appropriately and I felt calm and reassured after our conversation. And most importantly he made me feel as if my case mattered. After I spoke with a representative, whom I will waste no exertion in describing due to his fragility and generally ill-displaced frustrations, Officer Jacobs came across the waiting area to check-in to see how my appointment went. He was genuinely enthusiastic when I told him I was able to get everything I needed. My appointment required that I “gentle parent” the SSA representative and was taxing (given how much I had to advocate for myself to get basic assistance). Having the thoughtful follow up from Officer Jacobs allowed me to walk out of the building with dignity and hope during a time when that is rare. If there was ever a man to promote and develop training for other SSA Officers, Officer Jacobs is the right person! Many blessings to him and his family.
