Mik Kat a month agoWent in, put in the ticket machine that I had no appointment, the process continued and I got ticket. Waited 2 hours, even had jog down the street to renew my parking, came back and still waited. Finally get called- only because they closed, to be told the office is appointment early. You have multiple machines that ask everyone checking in and you couldn’t put a notification if you click no appointment the only option is to press make an appointment or even have it cut to the appointment screen for people who can’t book one on themselves? It would save the office and the people so much time and headaches. I feel it would be common sense to print a paper that says appointment only and stick it on the kiosks at least. Also, I don’t know if this is viable, but please notify other government offices its appointment only- I was told it they allow and believed they still allowed walk ins after my last visit
Lauren Elizabeth 5 months agoI cannot adequately express how frustrating and unprofessional my experience with this Social Security office has been. On multiple occasions, I waited on hold for 90 minutes or more, only to reach a representative who either did not fully review the issue or provided incomplete and incorrect information. When I called back, I was given entirely different answers by a different representative, creating confusion and unnecessary stress. I am a representative payee for a family member who lives out of state, and the lack of consistency, accountability, and basic follow-through made an already complex situation far more difficult than it needed to be. What made this especially troubling is that when I contacted MY local Social Security office in another state, they were able to help me immediately and complete tasks that this office explicitly told me could not be done. The contrast in professionalism and competence was night and day. In addition, the tone used by some staff members was dismissive and at times, outright rude. My brother, who has a serious mental illness, was spoken to in a manner that was inappropriate and lacking basic compassion. While I understand this job can be stressful, that does not excuse treating vulnerable individuals or their families with disrespect. I sincerely hope this office takes steps to improve training, communication, and customer service, because the current experience is unacceptable.
Lee 4 months agoTrying to get a 1099 to do my deceased mother’s taxes. I have been waiting for 3 hours 10 mins and counting. This is the most soul destroying place. One security guard does his best to be helpful. The other makes things even more depressing, which is saying something.
JEFF STEELE 3 months agoEntrance was very hard to find. Hidden in all the construction, is a narrow dark path that takes you inside. Once inside, you have the arduous task of navigating the complex mazes that seem to just take you in a circle. I would avoid this harrowing place altogether if possible. Definitely come, "at your own risk". I don't recommend undergoing this journey alone. Make sure to have a 'check-buddy', in case someone gets lost or separated.
Nicole Johnson 8 months agoHaving people that are hired, and paid to do a job that they refuse to do is pathetic. After being on hold for 90 minutes the representative picked up the phone, and scraped it against surfaces to imitate disruption while I could hear all the other Representatives in the background doing their job jobs. I stayed on hold with them playing this game for over 20 minutes before I got irritated and attempted to get them to either do their job or simply hang up so I could find someone that would do theirs. I am tired of the government officials that just want to collect a check without providing the services that they’re hired to do. This was my experience calling the toll-free number. I will be attempting to call the main office to see if I have better luck that way. I suggest that if you can figure out the online system, you bypass the people because they try to bypass doing their work. I would provide negative stars if possible.
