Jan 13, 2026: I needed to change the bank info for direct deposit but couldn't complete it online. I had to go into an office but couldn't get an appointment for 2 months. So I decided to arrive at this office at 07:00 to be the first in line. It opens at 09:00. I got in and saw the worker and out at 09:40. My wife was with me to get her retirement case fixed also. It worked out very nice for us. Young worker was super nice.

Very friendly office. The staff are very helpful with information you need. They understand that phone lines are always busy so they won't turn you away even without an appointment. However, many services like appyling for a new SS card do require an appointment so they will help you schedule the soonest appointment at the closest location for whatever service you need.

Can't say this loud enough MAKE AN APPOINTMENT!!!! There are two lines, well two entry points, one if you have an appointment or the line where you don't. I had an appointment I was in and out within 15 minutes! There is a security check-in point once inside so come prepared!

I’ve been here two hours before it open, I’m still waiting in lane, someone can literally get heat stroke because of this heat only reason why we came is because when we call them about our paper work they refuse to help us through phone. Making us come in then make appt for us? Hire more people, a line shouldn’t be the whole building

Today I visited the Long Beach Social Security office and the the best experience. The staff is efficient, friendly, from security guards to staff. Ms. Perez took the time to resolve my issue, (that I have been trying to do for 3 years to do through other offices) Truly impressed with her professionalism, knowledge and her willingness to make sure all documents were correct.
